About Us

Vega Sports Academy was founded in the summer of 2012 in Las Vegas, Nevada to partner up with a non-profit organization and create a soccer summer program for at-risk youth. The founders are two brothers who grew up playing sports with similar conditions as some of the kids in the program.

One of the brothers, Omar, was one of the top nationally ranked tennis players in Mexico. The other brother, Fernando, played collegiate tennis and graduated from The University of Alabama. They both understand the importance of sports as it helped shape their life with mentors and positive influences.

Vega Sports has worked with several of the top private schools in Las Vegas, but most importantly, has partnered up with multiple non-profit organizations to work with less fortunate children. We want to bring something special to Iowa by providing the highest quality training for both beginners and advance players while developing teamwork, work ethic, and leadership skills.
